10K

The 10K option starts at the Dunnavant Valley Fields (formerly 1996 fields) parking lot, from there the crowd will be thinned out for a quarter mile before hitting the Dunnavant Valley Greenway which parallels the North Fork of Yellow Leaf Creek for 1.9 miles. From there runners will continue through the Highway 41 Trailhead parking lot and run the trail paralleling the highway for only 1/10 of a mile before entering Dunnavant Valley Park. Shortly after that runners will take a hard right on to the new ‘Waterfalls’ trail that is 0.9 miles long, dropping runners onto the Dunnavant Valley service road. Runners have a short jaunt up the road to the trail head of ‘Laurel Loop’. This is also the location of the only aid station. From here runner’s turn around and head back to the start on the same route. Elevation gain of approximately 900 feet.

1/2 Marathon

The 1/2 marathon option starts at the Dunnavant Valley Fields (formerly 1996 fields) parking lot, from there the crowd will be thinned out for a quarter mile before hitting the Dunnavant Valley Greenway which parallels the North Fork of Yellow Leaf Creek for 1.9 miles. From there runners will continue through the Highway 41 Trailhead parking lot and run the trail paralleling the highway for only 1/10 of a mile before entering Dunnavant Valley Park. Shortly after that runners will take a hard right on to the new ‘Waterfalls’ trail that is 0.9 miles long, dropping runners onto the Dunnavant Valley service road. Runners have a short jaunt up the road to the trail head of ‘Laurel Loop’. This is also the location of the only aid station, which 1/2 marathoners will hit at miles 3-ish and 10-ish. Runner's will be on Laurel Loop for 2 miles and then exit onto the service road running all the way past the yellow access gate jumping onto 'More Than a Feeling' for almost a mile, crossing over Double Oak Way and dropping into 'Don't Stop Believing' for a an exhilarating mile along the ridge. Runner's cross the access gate once more and take a sharp left onto 'Black Betty', meeting up with 'Fire on the Mountain' and eventually taking the big downhill on the service road back to 'Waterfalls'. From here it's a race back to the finish on the Greenway. Elevation gain approximately 2000 feet.
