Memorial Day 5K

Seventeenth Annual Memorial Day Ceremony

The ceremony will include a flyover; patriotic music by Homeland; Honor Guard; LTG A. C. Roper, US Army retired, as speaker; ceremonial service wreaths laying by ALNC Gold Star family members; a rifle salute; TAPS; a cannon salute; and more. Prestley Skelton, High Student Junior and State Winner in the American Legion Oratorical Contest, will serve as emcee.

Spring Garden Tour

Come tour some of Columbiana’s prettiest yards and gardens! Stroll through the gardens with the homeowners and learn about different varieties of shrubbery, flowers and other landscaping ideas. Five locations will be featured on the tour, so come prepared in flat, comfortable shoes. Tickets are $20 (cash or check) and will be available the morning of the event starting at 9am. Everyone will need to check in on Mill Street at Old Mill Square Park to purchase tickets, receive a tour map and bottled water as well as other goodies to use on the Tour. This is a fundraiser for the Columbiana Beautification Board and all proceeds will be reinvested into community beautification projects. After the Tour, stop downtown and enjoy lunch and do some shopping in Columbiana. Several businesses are offering special discounts for Tour participants.
