ChelseaFest and the Big KaBoom is Chelsea’s city-wide annual 4th of July celebration. This is one of the premiere events for the city of Chelsea. ChelseaFest and the Big KaBoom features great music on the main stage, food from many different food trucks and, of course, one of the largest fireworks shows in Alabama! ChelseaFest and the Big KaBoom is held annually on the last Saturday before the 4th July.
Feel the thunder of drums and surge of paddles. In one of the most electric events of the Games, international police and fire teams row in perfect rhythm, surging forward with synchronized strength and teamwork. It is a spectacle of unity, tradition, and raw power on the water - unlike anything you have seen before.
Big Thrills on the trails! Watch elite first responders race down dirt paths and sharp turns in one of the Games' most exciting outdoor events. Perfect for families who love adventure, this high-speed challenge is packed with action and edge-of-your-seat moments.
Cheer from the shore as heroes take the plunge! Swimmers dive into open water for a grueling, inspiring race against time and nature. It is a great outdoor event for families to enjoy the sun, support the athletes and witness incredible endurance.

With just a map and compass, competitors race across forests and trails t find hidden checkpoints. It's fast-paced and full of surprises. Families will love the puzzle-solving aspect and seeing how first responders use both their minds and their legs to succeed. Plus, it is outdoor, active and fun to follow - like watching a real-life treasure hunt unfold in the woods.

Step into the calm but intense atmosphere of Billiards competition, where officers and firefighters from across the globe go head-to-head in this classic game of strategy and skill. For families with teen, older kids, or game lovers, this event is a perfect chance to watch laser focus, smart play, and some truly spectacular shots. It is a quieter event - but one that shows just how diverse and talented out heroes really are. Expect plenty of "wow" moments.
This is what determination looks like. In the Cross Country event, runners from around the world power through grass, hills, and woods in long-distance race against time, and themselves. It is a great event for families to enjoy a beautiful day outside, cheer international first responders, and maybe even inspire the next generation of runners. Kids can see that being a hero doesn't always mean flashing lights. It can mean pushing yourself to the finish line, no matter how tough the trail.
Fast. fierce, and family-friendly fun! Rugby 7s is a non-stop ride. The matches are short but packed with action - big tackles, quick passes, and huge plays. And with police and fire teams representing countries from across the globe, every game feels like a final. Families will love the energy and excitement in the stands, with music, cheering, and nonstop movement on the field, it's like a mini Olympics. Great for kids who play sport, love team spirit, or just enjoy high-energy action.

Welcome to the 44th Annual Peavine Falls Run. This iconic event is a 4th of July tradition in Central Alabama. Why go to Atlanta and run (walk) with 60,000 people when you can visit the beautiful Oak Mountain State Park, run with a few hundred of your closest friends, enjoy a great race on a fun course, and have a great time all the way around!
