Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at thirty and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the middle sister, who quickly outgrew Hazlehurst, is back after an attempted singing career on the West Coast; while Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband in the stomach because she didn’t like his looks. Their troubles, grave and yet, somehow, hilarious, are highlighted by their priggish cousin, Chick, and by the awkward young lawyer who tries to keep Babe out of jail while helpless not to fall in love with her. Take a historic train ride from the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum Depot to Ozan Winery & Distillery. At the vineyard, enjoy Yella Hound Spirits by the tracks. Then, take a short walk up the hill to the winery tasting rooms under the stars. At the winery, you'll get a souvenir wine glass and a selection of wines paired with sweet & savory treats. Sample Chardonnay, Peach, Pinot Noir, and more. You can also buy wines and spirits to take home. This is a Date Night for Two event. Tickets come in sets of two or four, and there will be a maximum of four people per table. Tables won't be moved, but larger groups can sit near each other if requested. Event Details: - The experience lasts about 1½ hours, including the train ride and time at Ozan Winery. - Wear appropriate shoes for a walk up the hill. - Schedule: - Saturdays & Sundays before Valentine’s Day - 4:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 7:30 p.m. Central - Must be 21+ with ID. - Limited availability, so book in advance.

Join us on February 17, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the Grande Hall at Old Mill Square in Columbiana, AL, for a Mardi Gras Party Fundraiser benefiting the Shelby County Arts Council. The event runs from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM. This lively fundraising Mardi Gras PARTY features live music by the Chuck King Band, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and exciting auction items. Feel free to wear your dancing shoes and, if you'd like, Mardi Gras attire! The event's proceeds support SCAC programs like "Writing our Stories," Art Therapy with the Arc of Shelby County, and scholarships for SCAC classes and programs. Depart from the museum depot on a train ride to Ozan Winery & Distillery, where you'll arrive at a beautifully lit vineyard. Enjoy Yella Hound Spirits and wines paired with traditional Mardi Gras bites. Don't miss the tasting of Ozan's Founder's Cut Straight Bourbon Whiskey. You can also purchase bottles of wine and spirits to take home. This event lasts about 1½ hours and includes a scenic train ride and time at Ozan Winery. The Alabama Cycling Association (ACA) is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to get more kids on bikes. We are a youth development organization with a commitment to redefining what a youth sports program is all about. We provide coaching and camaraderie to students who love mountain biking. Our goal is to help middle school and high school kids achieve both competitive and non-competitive cross-country mountain biking skills in a safe and enjoyable manner.
