Oak Mountain State Park Trails
Oak Mountain State Park has 100 miles of trails for all ages and skill levels including: - 27 miles of equestrian trails exclusively for horses (no foot traffic or mountain bikes except for segments of a few multi-use trails) - 32 miles of hiking trails exclusively for foot traffic (no horses or mountain bikes) - 42 miles of mountain bike trails (the only OMSP trails that allow mountain bikes - however foot traffic is allowed - no horses)

Black Creek Mountain Bike Park
The 73 acre park straddles the boundary of Jefferson and Shelby Counties adjacent to the Lake Wilborn community just south of the Hoover Met Complex.

Buck Creek Greenway - Alabaster
The Buck Creek Greenway trail contains approximately 3 miles of walking and biking paths with a 1.5 mile linear main trail. It connects two major parks: Buck Creek Park and Warrior Park.

Columbiana Community Trail
The Columbiana Community Trail is behind the 1/4 mile walking track at Elvin Hill Elementary School on fenced-in Shelby County Schools property. The single loop length of the trail which serpentines through wooded and hilly terrain is 1.48 miles.

Dunnavant Valley Greenway
The Dunnavant Valley Greenway runs approximately 1.8 miles one way along the North Fork of Yellow Leaf Creek between two trailheads. The southern trailhead is located within the Dunnavant Valley Fields adjacent to Hwy 280.

Heardmont Park Trail
The Heardmont Park walking trail is approximately one mile in length with other links that help to intra-connect the 74-acre family recreational park.

Hillsboro Trail
The Hillsboro Trail contains over 3 miles of trail that will connect large residential communities with commercial development, an elementary and middle school, current and future parks and additional trails to Buck Creek.

Montevallo Greenway
The 2 mile trail begins at the existing Orr Park asphalt walking and biking trail at its closest approach to Island Street near the junction of Island Street and Middle Street.

Veterans Park Alabaster Trail on Highway 119
The Veterans Park Alabaster trail covers approximately 2 miles and is located within a 90-acre park facility. The trail is lighted and is a paved surface that is handicap accessible.

Veteran's Park on Valleydale
The Veterans Park on Valleydale trail is approximately 3.1 miles in length and is easily accessible from nearby schools, Jefferson State Community College and large residential developments.
