Morning Tee Time At Timberline

On Saturday morning, arrive at Timberline in Calera for your morning tee time. If you’re feeling hungry, make your way to the grill. They’re serving up some of the best breakfasts you can find around that will help get you through your 18 holes. You can sit and enjoy your warm breakfast and coffee overlooking the beautiful 18th fairway. Once you’re done, it’s time to make it out onto the course.

The Course

This Par 71 course designed by Jerry Pate can be described in one word: Fun! The course features sprawling fairways, rolling hills, and tall pines. A little over 7,000 yards from the back tees, this course can meet you at whatever skill level you may find yourself at, and we have no doubt you will enjoy your time at Timberline.

After your round, don’t forget to stop by the pro shop. They have great merchandise, and chatting with the experienced pros in the clubhouse can help improve your game. And don’t worry, we won’t ask what you scored!

Lunch At Tin Top Bar-B-Que

After you’ve worked up an appetite on the course, there is nothing that will satisfy your cravings like good ole southern bar-b-que. There are few places with better lip-smackin’ food than Tin Top Bar-B-Que! This dive-esq joint will make you feel like you’re swinging the door to grandma’s house with their home-style sides like mac and cheese, slaw, and all the other BBQ favorites.

Bring a big appetite when you go to Tin Top. The BBQ selection they have is amazing! From pulled pork to ribs to chicken and much more, the smoky aromas will draw you in, but the amazing-tasting food will have you coming back time and time again! When you stop into Tin Top, you’ll see why TripAdvisor rates Tin Top as the best lunch spot in Calera!

Grab A Drink At Sage Bar & Grill!

After you’ve gotten over your wood smoke-induced food coma, spend your afternoon at Sage Bar & Grill. Sage is located right outside Calera and offers a great selection of beer, spirits, and wine and incredible specialty cocktails! In need of a spot to watch the big game? Sage has plenty of TVs so you won’t miss a second of the action this season.

With ample seating inside or out, no worries if you’re coming with a large group; Sage can make sure you and your party are well taken care of. If you’ve saved any room after lunch, be sure to try out some of their award-winning appetizers like the fried green tomatoes or their famous pimento fritters! Don’t forget to check their website to keep up to date with all of the happenings at Sage like bingo, trivia, and live music!

Dinner At Bertolone’s

After a day on the town, what better way to cap it all off than a dinner at a fantastic Italian restaurant? Bertolone’s in Calera serves some of the best Italian food anywhere in Shelby County. The atmosphere at Bertolone’s is family-oriented, and the space is conducive to wonderful conversation with family and friends over food that is just downright delicious.

Explore the regions of Italy with their multitude of dinner options from lasagne to tortellini. And for a refreshment, Bertolone’s has a full bar with domestic and premium beer options, and also a vast wine list. The wine list contains fan favorites that you may be familiar with, but the list also expands to imported wines from different regions of Italy. This is such a unique offering for a restaurant in Calera and we think it makes Bertolone’s that much more special!

After dinner, leave room for dessert. Bertolone’s has incredible options like cannolis, tiramisu, and plenty of cake options. The dessert at Bertolone’s is the perfect nightcap to a wonderful day spent in Calera.
