Godsmack is an American rock band formed in 1995 with original members comprised of Sully Erna, Robbie Merill, Tony Rombola, and Shannon Larkin. After debuting a rough demo, they signed up with Universal around 1998. With the band’s noticeable incline in album sales, their “Godsmack” album reached spot 22 on the Billboard 200. Subsequently, with their name rising from the likeness of mystical imagery and percussive tribal rhythms of Metallica and Alice in Chains, they followed with another successful album released in 2000. “Awake” immediately reached number five on Billboard 200, earning them a block of certified two-time platinum by RIAA.
A significant milestone in their career was their featured soundtrack in the movie “The Scorpion King,” in 2002, which became the number-one single on Rock Radio and the most Active Rock song for 14 weeks straight. The band is now famous for releasing hard-hitting singles like “Whatever,” “Keep Away,” and “Voodoo.” Fan-favorite albums like “Faceless” and “When Legends Rise,” Godsmack have made their mark in the metal rock band community.
Along with the release of their new album “Lighting Up The Sky,” the Grammy-nominated band is going on tour with I Prevail. I Prevail is an American post-hardcore band from Rochester Hills formed in 2013. The quintet is famous for its songs, including “Bad Things,” “Hurricane,” “Gasoline,” and “There’s Fear In Letting Go,” among many others.
