The Annual Hold the Fort Races are a simultaneously held timed 5k and 10k and also a 1 Mile Warrior Walk that will be taking place at Oak Mountain State Park in Alabama on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 8 am to 11 am.  Proceeds this year are dedicated to raising $1.5 million to construct Blanket Fort Hope's restorative therapeutic home for child trafficking survivors and ensure ongoing operations in training, development, and advocacy in the community. Cahaba River Ramble 2024 – Trail Race

This spectacular 5k and 10-mile trail race runs along the “biological heart” of Alabama’s longest remaining free-flowing river, the Cahaba, and is the primary annual fundraiser for Cahaba River Society's Shane Hulsey CLEAN Environmental Education Program. When: Saturday, April 20, 2024. Registration opens at 7am and the race begins at 8am. Where: Cahaba River Park, 2793 River Road, Helena, AL 35080 Located in the Cahaba River Park in Shelby County, the race is one of the most unique running experiences in Alabama. Aid stations will be provided at mile three and mile seven (for the 10-mile race). All participants will receive lunch, a t-shirt, and a swag bag after the race, and prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category.

BCBSAL 5k Charity Fund Run

In conjunction with the BCBSAL Kids Marathon, one of the largest and longest running kids' marathon programs in the nation, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama will host a charity fundraising 5K to promote active lifestyle habits and celebrate a dedication to community giving. Run for fun or fundraise before the event for your favorite Alabama non-profit organization! The BCBSAL 5K will start in front of Spain Park High school, loop through renovated Veteran's Park in Hoover, Alabama and end in a spectator-friendly finish on the stadium track. Expect food trucks, beloved sports mascots, great race swag and other family friendly hospitality throughout the day! Superhero attire is encouraged and a costume contest will be announced ahead of the event. Race day registration ends at 7:30am. www.bcbsal5k.com
