The event runs from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM. This lively fundraising Mardi Gras PARTY features live music by the Chuck King Band, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and exciting auction items. Feel free to wear your dancing shoes and, if you'd like, Mardi Gras attire! The event's proceeds support SCAC programs like "Writing our Stories," Art Therapy with the Arc of Shelby County, and scholarships for SCAC classes and programs. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at thirty and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the middle sister, who quickly outgrew Hazlehurst, is back after an attempted singing career on the West Coast; while Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband in the stomach because she didn’t like his looks. Their troubles, grave and yet, somehow, hilarious, are highlighted by their priggish cousin, Chick, and by the awkward young lawyer who tries to keep Babe out of jail while helpless not to fall in love with her.
