Ridge to Blazing Ridge Trail Race

Race Distances: The course is on a 10.36 mile loop. The race starts with a 0.4 mile lap around the BMX track making the first full lap, 10.76 miles. For 21 milers, the second lap will be 10.36, making the full two laps 21.12 miles. The Peavine Falls Aid Station is located at the top of the falls at mile 4.83. The Red Road Water Stop (Water only) will be at mile 7.84. August 22nd - 4:30 to 5:30 PM - Packet pickup and Late Registration will be at the Mountain High Outfitters store at Oak Mountain. Come out to the Cars for a Cause Car Show on Saturday, August 23 from 4 to 8 PM at Campus No. 124 – The Beer Hog on Pelham Parkway in Pelham, AL. This family-friendly event will feature classic cars, custom rides, trucks, music, food, a Low Country Boil by Til We Run Out, a silent auction, and activities for all ages. It’s all to support The Arc of Shelby County and their work with individuals who have developmental disabilities and delays. All proceeds go directly to programs like Early Intervention, Employment Services, Community Services, and the New Visions day program. Bring your car, your family, and help make a real difference.

Zombie Backyard Ultra

Get ready for Last Zombie Standing—a true test of endurance at Oak Mountain State Park. Runners take on a 4.167-mile loop with around 500 feet of gain, every hour on the hour. Finish the loop in under 60 minutes, be back in the corral, and you get to go again. Miss the bell, and you're done. No pacers, no aid on course, no shortcuts—just you, the trail, and the ticking clock. The last runner standing who completes one more lap than the rest wins. Everyone else? DNF. Space is limited to 100 runners—register before it’s too late.

Tinglewood Festival

Hold the Fort 10K, 5K, & 1 Mile Warrior Walk

The Annual Hold the Fort Races are a timed 5k and 10k race and a 1-mile Warrior Walk held at Oak Mountain State Park in Alabama on Saturday, SEPTEMBER 20, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. This year's race begins at the DOGWOOD Pavillion.
