The scene is Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where the three Magrath sisters have gathered to await news of the family patriarch, their grandfather, who is living out his last hours in the local hospital. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at thirty and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the middle sister, who quickly outgrew Hazlehurst, is back after an attempted singing career on the West Coast; while Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband in the stomach because she didn’t like his looks. Their troubles, grave and yet, somehow, hilarious, are highlighted by their priggish cousin, Chick, and by the awkward young lawyer who tries to keep Babe out of jail while helpless not to fall in love with her. Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum 1919 9th St, CaleraTake a historic train ride from the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum Depot to Ozan Winery & Distillery. At the vineyard, enjoy Yella Hound Spirits by the tracks. Then, take a short walk up the hill to the winery tasting rooms under the stars. At the winery, you'll get a souvenir wine glass and a selection of wines paired with sweet & savory treats. Sample Chardonnay, Peach, Pinot Noir, and more. You can also buy wines and spirits to take home. This is a Date Night for Two event. Tickets come in sets of two or four, and there will be a maximum of four people per table. Tables won't be moved, but larger groups can sit near each other if requested.
