The new trails will create connections to existing trails, promoting a stack loop system at the County’s most recent multi-use park. Participation in the Recreational Trails Program is part of Shelby County’s ongoing commitment to providing outdoor recreation opportunities that enhance quality of life for residents and provide unique outdoor offerings for visitors. The total trail building project is estimated at $571,429.00. The remaining $221,429.00 of this project will be paid by direct funds from the County’s Lodging Tax revenues and in-kind labor services from Shelby County. “We are thrilled with the opportunity to offer a unique outdoor experience with increased trail connectivity to the community in partnership with ADECA.” said Christie Hester, Director of Development Services.
