The Veterans Park on Valleydale trail is approximately 3.1 miles in length and is easily accessible from nearby schools, Jefferson State Community College and large residential developments. The course consisting of both a soft gravel mixture and hard surface serves as host to numerous local, regional and national cross country events with a 5k and 8K course. The Great American Cross Country Race brings top runners from across the country to compete on the course.

Also included on the grounds are four beach volleyball courts, two pavilions, and two children’s playgrounds. Some portions of the trail are handicap accessible. Also, located on the site is a large monument to recognize and pay tribute to U.S. Veterans.
