The 40th Annual Bassmaster Classic was held on Lay Lake in 2010, marking the fourth time the tournament has been held at the Lake. The tournament has been held there in 1996, 2002, 2007 and 2010. Learn more at the Bass Master website.
Lay Lake continues to host numerous state championships, regional championships and national fishing tournaments and has hosted the 2017 Carhart College B.A.S.S. Series Wild Card Tournament on Lay Lake, June 8-10, 2017 and the 2018 B.A.S.S. High School Southern Open on Lay Lake, March 24, 2018.
