Limestone Park in Alabaster is approximately 100 acres of locally rare habitats including one of the largest beaver marshes in the area, a Water Tupelo Swamp (rare in this part of the state), wet marsh, and open grasslands. It is a featured site on the Alabama Birding Trails system and is considered one of the best birding locations in the greater Birmingham metro area.

• Birding observation deck (handicap accessible)
• Central pond where many families fish (fishing line disposal containers available – please protect our year round Pied-Billed Grebe)
• Home of the Alabaster RC Airplane Club
• Home of Manna Ministries’ Manna Farms charity garden
• Home to nesting Anghinas and Tree Swallows (both rare nesters for Alabama and only known to nest in Limestone Park in Central Alabama)
• Mowed nature trail through the wet meadow and along the beaver marsh
• Over 500 species of plants, animals, birds, fish, reptiles, and insects have been recorded so far in the park with more being added often
• Two native prairie plant restoration plots maintained by Birmingham Audubon volunteers
